Google Analytics
Via this website, a cookie is placed by the American company Google, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to obtain and update reports on how visitors are using the Website. Google may supply this information to third parties if Google is statutorily obliged to do so, or in the event that the data is processed by third parties on behalf of Google. It is not possible to have any influence over this. Your IP address is emphatically not provided. The information is transferred to Google and stored on servers in the United States. Google states that it observes the Privacy Shield principles and is affiliated to the Privacy Shield programme of the American Department of Commerce. According to Google this means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of personal data. However, on July 16, 2020, the Court of Justice of the European Union declared the EU-US Privacy Shield invalid because the United States does not provide the level of protection for personal data required by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). The EU-US Privacy Shield has been declared invalid because (a) US government agencies (such as intelligence agencies) may have access to this personal information if they consider it necessary to safeguard internal security and (b) Europeans do not have effective access to justice if their personal information is collected and accessed by US government agencies. A solution to this problem is currently being sought. The European Data Protection Board will eventually provide more information about measures that can be taken to protect personal data. In addition, negotiations are currently underway between the European Commission and the United States on an improvement of the EU-US Privacy Shield.
