People increasingly value CSR, which is reflected in recent legal and regulatory developments. Corporate Social Responsibility plays an increasingly important role in the operations of Van Os Imports B.V., such as in testing product quality and safety, the (sustainable) efficiency of the company building, and the sustainable packaging and transportation of products.

Product Quality and Safety

CE / Compliance: Most products are marked with a CE logo, demonstrating that the product meets health, safety, and environmental protection standards.

Amfori / BSCI: Van Os Imports B.V. strives to work with suppliers who operate according to the practices and guidelines of Amfori and BSCI certification. These certifications serve as proof that working conditions in the factories meet social requirements.

Product Testing: Van Os Imports tests new samples for quality, materials, and design. Any feedback is communicated to suppliers, allowing them to make adjustments to meet our standards.

Traceability: All products are provided with a unique EAN code and a trademark. Additionally, each product page includes information about the party responsible for importing the product into Europe. This party must ensure that the product meets safety requirements in accordance with GPSR policy regulations.

Materials: The majority of textile products offered by Van Os Imports B.V. are produced in accordance with the guidelines of the Oeko-Tex label. Oeko-Tex is a textile trademark that guarantees the products are free from harmful substances.

Company Building

Power consumption: The company building is well-insulated and equipped with LED lights, resulting in lower overall energy consumption. Additionally, the lights automatically turn off when the building is closed, preventing any energy waste.

Efficient warehouse: The warehouse features advanced automation and an efficient layout, minimizing the energy required for moving products.

Packaging & Transport

FSC cardboard: Van Os Imports B.V. has started using FSC-certified cardboard. FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council and is a certification that guarantees the raw materials for paper and paper products come from responsibly managed forests worldwide.

Polybags: In recent years, Van Os Imports B.V. has introduced the use of recyclable and recycled polybags. As a result, the majority of our assortment is now offered in this sustainable packaging material. Polybags are short for polyethylene bags and are considered more environmentally friendly than regular plastic bags.

Efficient Packaging: When packing the products into boxes, the staff ensures efficient packing to avoid sending unnecessary extra packaging. Additionally, the boxes in the warehouse are reused whenever possible.
